globe is set on a composite lapis base. These magnificent handmade
gemstone globes are created with each country (yes country,
not just the continents) inlaid with one of over 20 different,
highly polished, semiprecious stones. Even a small gemstone
globe can take many man-hours to painstakingly inlay, assemble
and polish. Some of the strikingly different stones used are
Amethyst, Jade, Mother-of-pearl, Lapis Lazuli, Tiger-eye, Green
Agate, Abalone, Red Jasper, Rhodonite, Snow Flake, Turquerentine,
Unakite, and Picture Jasper.
